I identified the tree thanks to this board in the KBR park, Hyderabad.
There were these small cream pods that were there. In full bloom the tree would look lovely I guess. But the severe heat of summer had taken its toll. But it did make a pretty sight.
Botanical name: Albizia amara subsp. amara Family: Mimosaceae (Touch-me-not family)
